I like to travel and experience new places so I read and participate in travel forums. I’m often amazed with other people’s travel patterns. Several times a year, they travel around the world in first class or business class, and they stay in suites at nice hotels. For them, this is par for the course. Sounds awesome but they’re definitely not playing on my course. Why? I’m a budget traveler, plain and simple.
As budget travelers, we realize that those types of vacations happen once every few years, not every few months. The good news is, it’s not impossible and there are (legitimate) ways you can make it happen for considerably less money out of pocket than you would think.
I’ll be sharing insight into available options to accumulate and use points, as well as other ways to simply save money. There will be more of a focus on hotels and hotel points than airline miles. We still deserve a few staycations, don’t we? With limited resources, it’s important to make decisions that will let us stretch our dollars as far as possible.
