I’m probably a little late on this but I just found out that Costco True Earnings American Express card is set to reduce the restaurant cash back from 3% to 2% starting on August 1, 2011. The gas cash back will remain at the 3% threshold but losing restaurants is tough. There are a lot of other cards out there that have a 2 points per dollar spending option so if you have a card with that feature, you’ll now have to decide which card is better for you.

Free Hilton HHonors Gold Status With Visa Signature Card
If you’re a Visa Signature card holder, visit http://hhonors.com/VisaSignature and fill out the information to get free Hilton Honors Gold status. You should receive the status immediately upon sign up. This status will expire on August 31, 2011. However, if you complete three stays by that deadline and pay with your Visa Signature card, your Gold membership will extend to the end of March 2013. That would give you approximately 21 months of Gold status.
When you’re searching for stays to extend your status under this offer, don’t forget to use the Hilton MVP corporate codes to find favorable rates.
Hyatt VISA from Chase – Is it Worth it?
The Hyatt VISA credit card from Chase was released in September 2010 and it looks like current card members are being surveyed to find out what type of additional benefits would enhance the value of the card. As it stands now, I think there’s very little value to the card to justify the annual fee, outside of the sign up bonus. But of course there’s no right answer for everyone. Everyone has different travel patterns and what’s good for me may not be good for others, and vice versa. The card and its details were mentioned briefly in a previous post but here’s a recap and a more in depth look.
